Giveaway!
novh:
I receive a lot of questions about bags and backpacks. I usually send people in the direction Tim Adam Bags, and with good reason too. I’ve had my Tim Adam backpack for about two years now, and still use it basically 7 days a week. The roll top design allows for a lot of space, but keeps the bag from looking odd during those times when there’s not much in it. The quality and durability of the materials and construction allow the bag to be enjoyed for years. Each bag is hand made by Tim in Portland.
Tim is relaunching his website on May 1st and to help celebrate we’re teaming up to give away a new backpack. To enter all you have to is reblog this post, likes will not enter you in the drawing. You must also be following Tim Adam and NOVH on tumblr. Once the winner is selected and contacted they will be able to pick out a bag of their choice.
Contest will close Friday May 4th at 11:59 PM. Winner will be selected at random and posted here.

n. a relationship or friendship that you can’t get out of your head, which you thought had faded long ago but is still somehow alive and unfinished, like an abandoned campsite whose smoldering embers still have the power to start a forest fire.
“What is it about the double-breasted coat that I love it so much? It is a ‘strong’ look. It is like having a little more power without being ridiculous. The story of the double-breasted coat is that it used to be exclusively for the ‘high’ types, for the president or the manager. But we modernised it and now you can even wear it with jeans. It looks good on everyone if fitted correctly. If you look at the most stylish men in history, even the shorter ones like the Duke of Windsor or Humphrey Bogart always wore double-breasted because they knew it was more powerful.
My suggestion is to wear the double-breasted jacket very tight. I often reinforce the buttons used to close the front flap of the jacket with another button on the inside for added security because I like the waist to be very, very tight. I think the secret to looking good in a double-breasted jacket is that it should never be perfect. It should have a few lines across the front where it creases. I never button the inner flap because I like it to be imperfect. I like to think of the double-breasted coat as almost like a sweater, which looks beautiful when it is worn casual and imperfectly. Fred Astaire never buttoned the inner flap and his coat always looked fantastic. This way, you can move much better.”

“I have no clue. I don’t want to be normal, never have been normal. “
“The shoes I wear today are from John Lobb, they are 25 years old. When I first got them they weren’t really comfortable but after 25 years, they really feel comfortable. With beautiful things, it is all about learning to wait, being patient. People today, they don’t want to give it time. But it is like love, it is like a relationship, it is like learning, like all the things we admire, it takes time. Anything that happens in the snap of a finger isn’t good.”

Patience is all we need.

Allow Us to Lay Down the Rules of Eating Sushi
Jason Kessler, bonappetit.comYou may or may not realize this, but there are Rules when you go out for sushi. Maybe the Rules aren’t law at, say, Sushi Boy in the LAX airport (what are you doing there, anyways?), but any of the best sushi chefs know and respect the Rules, a…
